Tires
Tires are absolutely necessary to our ability to drive and our safety on the road. Often, it seems that blowouts and flats occur at the most inconvenient times – typically in the middle of the night, in the rain, when you are running late for an important event. In the U.S. alone, 920 million tires were used for non-commercial vehicles on the road in 2005, and every year on average, 290 million tires are disposed of. As we use them daily, we also trash them daily.
