Kids Raise Money for Earth 911

Four entrepreneurial kids in Mechanicsburg, PA, according to the letter received here at Earth 911, from mother Mary Megna, wanted to do something to help the Earth and stop global warming. So Jess Megna and her friend, Amanda Banzhoff, decided to organize a yard sale and contribute the proceeds to Earth 911.

On May 5th, 2007, they collected $65.91. The children in the photo include Ethan Gourley, Jess Megna, Amanda Banzhoff, and Rebekah Alvey. Also helping with the yard sale (not pictured) were Billy Sheafer, Jonathan Bonner, Katie Davis, Abby Shumaker, and Ben Underwood.

Earth 911 sincerely thanks these kids for taking the initiative to do something to help the planet and for their contribution to help us to continue providing this free service.

Thanks for Making Every Day Earth Day™.

What a simple but effective method of promoting the “Reuse” segment on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. It’s easy to help “Make a Difference”!
