Bahrain Plans to Recycle Five Tonnes of Used Paper
Gulfnews reports that Bahrain has started a two-week campaign to involve 80 youth in the recycling of five tonnes (5,000 kilograms, over 11,000 pounds) of paper. The youth will be collecting, cutting and grinding used paper before it gets recycled, with the purpose of using young people to educate them about become more environmentally conscious.
The Bahrain Centre for Volunteers and the General Organisation for Youth and Sports have already contacted government and private organizations to generate support for the program. For more information on paper recycling, visit our Recycling page.
