King County Recycling Campaign Wins National Awards

King County’s “Recycled More. It’s Easy To Do” ad campaign won one gold and four silver “DAVEY” Awards for promoting simple solutions to common barriers for recycling.

The ads were seen on A&E, Discovery, Food Network, HGTV, Animal Planet, TLC and The History Channel during the promotion, and are now posted on the King County Solid Waste Web site.

The nationally broadcast ads, entitled “Garage,” “Peanut Butter” and “Home Office,” won in the categories of Low Budget, Public Service and Promotional/Branding.

The DAVEY Awards recognize the “Davids” of creativity—small firms and agencies with big ideas. The concept is based on the story of David and Goliath.

The three television ads also each won a bronze 2007 Telly Award, honoring local, regional and cable television commercials and programs.

All of the ads were created by Dave Syferd & Partners, a Seattle-based advertising firm.
