Toy Makers, Retailers Announce New Safety Policies

Environmental Leader reports that the Toy Industry Association (TIA) is endorsing a new policy of safety and testing verification in response to several 2007 toy recalls.

The TIA and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) have developed a program that will address hazardous materials and the manufacturing process of these toys. It will be released on Friday at the ANSI website and opened for one month of public comment.
