Great Lakes 2008 Earth Day Challenge

The EPA Great Lakes office has created the 2008 Earth Day Challenge with a goal of recycling one million pounds of pharmaceuticals in states that border the Great Lakes.

If you live in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania or Wisconsin, you can use Earth 911’s recycling locator to find these events in your area. Collection events will take place anytime between April 19-27.

If your community is holding an event that isn’t part of the program, visit the 2008 Earth Day Challenge site and fill out a partner form.

Check out this flyer to learn more. Remember to get involved this Earth 911’s recycling locator can help you find collection events throughout the U.S.

Congrats on the excellent job Earth911 did in promoting and supporting the EPA Great Lakes 2008 Earth Day Challenge.
It was a big success and I can’t wait to see the final totals.
The non-profit Interfaith Earth Healing Iniaitive was also involved in the project including making videos – the first of many results videos are just online at EarthHealingTV on youtube and bliptv
