Sugar Land Hosts Environmental Week

The City of Sugar Land, Texas and Keep Sugar Land Beautiful are hosting the first annual Environmental Week from April 13-19, a week of environmental activities for all ages.

Highlights throughout the week will include:

  • The Eco-Car Show and “Concert in the Park” on April 13 in Oyster Creek Park
  • The Environmental Steward of the Year award presentation on April 15 at Sugar Land City Hall
  • The Eco Show” on April 17 at the Plaza at Town Square—an interactive magic show for students on litter prevention, recycling and waste management
  • The H2O Expo and “Environmental Movie Under the Moon” on April 18 at the Plaza at Town Square
  • Sugar Land’s annual Earth Day Recycling Event on April 19 in the parking lot of Mercer Stadium—accepting household aluminum cans, used eyeglasses and clothing/household items for reuse (limits on items accepted and charges may apply)
