Earth911 is a great resource for our program at Green Market Fundraising. Our fundraising program provides a way for students at PreK-12 schools to take action to help the environment by facilitating the sale of environmentally friendly products like CFLs, reusablebags and solar-powered phone chargers. We feel a responsibility to provide information for customers to recycle spent CFL and Earth911 provides this information. Interested parties may contact us at www.greenmarketfundraising.com or by calling 1.866.925.4189.

It's great that Earth911 is working on getting the message out. There are so many places that accept CFLs for recycling these days, doing it is incredibly convenient. But there are still an enormous number of people who don't realize the damage of putting a CFL into a landfill (mercury seepage), and as such don't make the effort.

I'm glad to see Earth911 sharing its info in the effort to educate more people on this important issue.
