Recycling Top Concern for Business Travelers

Three out of four business travelers demand Deloitte on green expectations. Nearly 27 percent would even pay more to stay at a hotel they knew was environmentally friendly.

Here’s what else travelers expect the hotels they stay in to be doing:

  • Energy-efficient lighting (74 percent)
  • Energy-efficient windows (59 percent)
  • Water efficiency (52 percent)
  • Environmentally safe cleaning products (49 percent)

Hotels are changing out their lighting, and recycling. Energy-efficient windows can be a problem for hotels in historic districts.
