More Toys Recalled for Lead Paint
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of 6,000 Little Rider Toys because they contained excessive levels of lead.
The affected toys sport a battery operated cowboy riding a horse. They have been sold at Dollar and discount stores nationwide from April 2007 through January 2008.
If you’ve purchased this toy, make sure children stop playing with it and return it to the store where it was purchased. Avoid throwing these toys in the garbage, because their lead content can contaminate soil and water if landfilled.
