I am working on a bucket wall. 5 gal buckets saved from the landfill. I have seen buckets used for building in the past with the consumer reuseing the buckets in small project ie fountain or permiter wall. I have found that a bucket in a bucket is so strong that no two men could get them apart, and have seen a dozer run over them does not crush them. IF a bucket is worth 1 cu. foot of landfill space my bucket wall at 8 feet tall and 90 feet long is worth 1700 cu.feet of landfill space. The compleate project will take 20,000 buckets, ie 20,000 cu. feet of land fill space. I have had great succsess with the locals in my area and with Lincoln county solid waste and Seara contracting in collecting buckets . This being a small town the larger citys would produce an endless supply of buckets for constuction. thanks and any input is wellcome Dave Hello Reuse, I am a hobby environmentlist and builder, and have a problem getting a message out about my rec.project.
