Starting the School Year Green

A new line of green back-to-school kits for teachers and students are available from the TheGreenOffice.com and Green School News.

The kits contain typical school supplies: pencils, pocket folders, crayons, glue sticks, scissors and facial tissues.

The big difference is that  every item is either:

  • Made with recycled material
  • Biodegradable
  • Compostable
  • Reusable
  • Green-certified, or
  • Has a reduced chemical content

“As a former educator, I’m committed to helping our schools go green,” said Alex Szabo, company CEO. “We want to make it as easy and cost-effective as possible for parents and teachers to select school supplies that are safe for both our children and the environment.”

Do you have materials left over from last school year? Use Earth911 to find a nearby location to recycle your paper and other school supplies.
