Going Green Expo Hits Maine, New Hampshire Next

Over 6,000 attendees and 100 exhibitors, speakers, musicians and workshops filled the Going Green Expo this weekend in Saco, Maine, according to Wayne King of Going Green Expos. Residents called the expo the “biggest event ever held” in Saco.

Governor John Baldacci, Maine Partners for Cool Communities, City of Saco, Simply Green Biofuels and Dr. Paul Mayewski, Director of the Climate Change Institute, were presented with Going Green Environmental Hero awards.  The “Heroes”  represented a broad cross section of policy makers, scientists, community organizers and business people, said King.

Chosen by a national group of electors within the environmental community, the Environmental Hero Award was presented by Going Green Magazine to individuals, businesses and organizations who have worked diligently to protect the planet and enable a sustainable future.

The next Going Green Expo will be held Nov. 1and  2 at the Radisson Hotel Center in Manchester, N.H.
