Please do not offer advice as to what is "in" with regard to design: antiques, especially fine examples, might be a fine addition or "artpiece"; brightly colored walls might be the wrong solution when paired with a wall of glass exposing a beautiful view. Please report, do not judge, and consult a professional inerior architect prior to offering advice.

On a positive - posted commentary has been worthwhile!!!

Let's not forget raw veggie scraps, eggshells and spent coffee grinds and tea bags to upgrade soil - especially if soil has been subjected to chemicals like pesticides. Add these ingredients chopped up (or thrown into a food processor, even better) and placed in soil a few inches down (for those who don't have a composter). Add a little chopped garlic, onion and/or cayenne to deter animals like racoons.. Every so often mix the soil. When the soil is rich, dark & loamy - voila! You have great soil. Flowers will be bright and happy and beneficial insects like ladybugs and butterflies will visit your garden.

Now you can go green, be more productive, and say goodbye to aches and pains!

Neutral Posture, Inc. is a great example of investments in sustainability. The use of recycled materials is something the ergonomics seating manufacturer encourages and practices. It carefully monitors the level of recycled materials to ensure their maximum use without affecting quality strength, quality, and durability. Minus paint, foam and fabric, Neutral Posture products are basically 100% recyclable. If calculated
by weight rather than component count, which is the standard used for environmental burden, the chair yields approximately 95% recyclable materials.

And, utilizing sturdy boxes to ensure prompt, intact delivery of Neutral Posture products is one of the ways in which the company serves its customers best. Its cardboard shipping boxes are produced from 45% recycled material, and 100% of the materials come from renewable pulp sources. For large orders, customers can opt to blanket wrap their chairs, which totally eliminates packing waste, or could choose to use a box made from 100% recycled materials for an upcharge. Additionally, all cardboard packaging received in our shipping & receiving department is recycled once the contents have been unpacked for storage or use. And the company has established agreements with its metal vendors to deliver
products in gaylords (large bins) that can be returned and reused and to use bulk packaging wherever possible, eliminating the need for cardboard boxes altogether.

After we had an energy audit performed on our home in late 2007 we began to collect home energy conservation suggestions from hundreds of people across the U.S.

http://dailyhomerenotips.com/energy-conservation/

To date we have collected more than 240 home energy conservation suggestions, of which 100+ cost absolutely nothing to do and a further 75+ cost next to nothing.

As well, most of these suggestions are simple and easy for any household to do.

Reducing the consumption of non-renewable resources used to provide electricity, home heating, home cooling and water heating in a home directly and immediately reduces that household's utility bills month after month after month ... in after tax dollars.
