Earth911 Editorial Policy
Much of Earth911′s content relies on third-party participation, but all content goes through an editorial process before it is published. Here are a few general guidelines:
- All content will fall within the mission of Earth911, specifically relating to recycling and product stewardship.
- The first priority of Earth911 content is to be a resource on recycling/product stewardship, not a news source on the latest green trends.
- Earth911′s content will be generated in accordance with the content calendar; any additional content generated by site contributors will be slotted on an as-need basis.
- All content will be reviewed by Earth911′s editors prior to publishing. This process should be expected to take as long as a week to complete.
- Earth911 partners can provide content to be considered for the site, but Earth911 has final discretion as to what content is published.
Editorial Partnership Mission Statement
The ultimate goal of Earth911′s Advertorial Department is to provide an open and transparent platform for companies, industry groups and other interested parties to engage Earth911 readers on various recycling or proper disposal issues. Advertorial pieces must include information from multiple sources that address different sides of an issue, especially pertaining to contentious topics. Every story must serve to benefit our readers in ultimately encouraging recycling and/or proper disposal.
