1. Take a picture
Take your photos and download them from your camera to your computer.
2. Get a Flickr account
Ever used Flickr before? If so, skip to Step 3. If not, read on:
- Go to Flickr.com to sign up.
- Click the “Create Your Account” button to get started. If you have a Yahoo! ID, you’ll use it to sign in. If not, you’ll need to create one. Don’t worry, it only takes a few minutes.
Step 3. Upload your photos to your Flickr account
Ok, here’s the important part: once your photo is uploaded, you need to properly tag it for it to appear on our site.
- If you want your photo to appear on the general Earth911.com Earth Day site, tag it with “earthdaypledge”.
- If you want it to also appear on a corresponding pledge page, then tag it either “garbage”, “recycle” or “compost”.
So, a photo that is about a compost pledge would be tagged “earthdaypledge compost”. On Flickr, tags are separated by spaces, not commas.
Oops, I didn’t mean to upload that photo!
That’s ok! Simply go to your Flickr account and remove the “earthdaypledge” tag
Step 4. You’re done!
Sit back, relax, and watch for your photos* on our Earth Day 2009 Channel!
