Step 2. Sign In
You’ll be redirected to Twitter, where you’ll need to enter your login information.
What’s Twitter? If you want to make a pledge with Earth911.com, you’ll need a Twitter account. Twitter is a service that allows you to stay connected to friends, family, co-workers, popular personalities, companies – whoever you want. Through short updates that you send out and receive, you’ll always know what the people you care about are up to.

Step 3. Complete the Pledge
Once you get to your Twitter home page, the beginning of a pledge will be auto-populated into your Tweet box. This is where you get to pick. How will you reduce your household waste?
Step 4. Tweet it!
Perhaps you want to stop using paper towels. So you’d complete your pledge to read “@Earth911 I pledge to reduce my household waste by using rags instead of paper towels”.
Step 5. Learn more!
Now that you’ve made your pledge, you can use a number of tools from Earth911.com to stay up-to-date on what’s happening in the world of recycling, reduction and composting throughout the rest of the year.
