What are some of the biggest challenges you have when it comes to recycling? How can we get more people to recycle? We want to know! And you can weigh in on these topics during our live Twitter chat on America Recycles Day (Friday, Nov. 15) from 2 to 3 p.m. ET, using the hashtag #ScrapChat.

Earth911 is teaming up with the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) to host the Twitter chat to get people talking about how to increase recycling rates. #ScrapChat will bring together experts from the recycling industry to share resources and information on how recycling works and ways in which we can reduce our waste footprint in everyday life.

#ScrapChat is open to anyone interested in learning more about recycling or sharing creative solutions to reducing waste. You’ll be invited to share your personal experiences and ask questions of the experts. Discussion topics will include:

• What are some of the biggest challenges you have when it comes to recycling?

• How can we get more people to recycle?

• What are some of your best recycling tips?

Here at Earth911 HQ we're all about living green and clean. If that's what you're searching for then you'll love our weekly email!

• Before something is recycled, have you found useful ways to “upcycle” it to get the most out of an item?

How the Twitter chat works: Simply log on to your Twitter account and follow the discussion through the #ScrapChat hashtag. Earth911 and ISRI will encourage you to tweet questions before and during the one-hour online conversation. Some of the most common questions and requests for information will be gathered and addressed during the chat. Feel free to send messages via Twitter before the chat to ISRI (@ISRI), or Earth911 (@Earth911).

This isn’t the first time Earth911 and ISRI have teamed up to promote recycling, and it won’t be the last. Learn more about our recently announced partnership (link to downloadable PDF).
