2. Take advantage of corporate recycling programs

There are also a lot of corporate recycling programs that make it easy to dispose of old electronic gadgets. Participants include Best Buy, Dell, Apple, Canon and Samsung, though this list is hardly exhaustive. The options are quite numerous.

While Apple, Canon and Samsung are happy to recycle their own products, Best Buy will take almost any electronic device, no questions asked. This includes televisions, computers, monitors, laptops, batteries, appliances, vacuum cleaners, print cartridges, cameras, speakers and more. Simply drop off your items at the customer service desk — it’s that simple.
