3. Sell old tech items on eBay or Craigslist

If you would like to make money off of your old tech gadgets, it might be easier than you think. Craigslist and eBay are great platforms for selling off old electronics; you can set your own price or auction the item off to the highest bidder. It takes a bit more work than simply dropping your old smartphone off at your nearest Best Buy, but then you also get paid, making the little extra bit of work worth your time. One thing to remember if you are going to sell old tech items: wipe the device to prevent any private or personal data from being accessed by others.
