VCR

Ah, the rapidly disappearing video cassette recorder (VCR). The first VHS VCR was produced by JVC and introduced in 1977. Though a far cry from its predecessor (the VTR), this home VCR featured a two hour recording time. But as technology progresses, households continue to oust VCRs for DVD players. The good news is these little machines can be recycled with other e- waste, rather than dumped in the landfill.
