Step 1. Go to Yahoo! Upcoming
Upcoming is a great place to list your event, and its where Earth911.com will be searching to find what you’ve got going on before/after/during Earth Day to help the planet.
Step 2. Add an Event
- Sign in using your Yahoo! account. If you don’t already have one, it’s easy to create one to post events (if you want to post photos of your event on Earth911.com, you’ll need a Yahoo! account to use Flickr).
- Click the “Add an Event +” button at the top of the screen.
- Fill out the necessary information for your event. Also, be sure to click “Anyone and everyone” under the Privacy section, so others can find your event on the Earth Day 2009 Channel at Earth911.com.
- Hit “Preview” to see the first draft of your event information. If everything is correct, hit “Add Event.”
Step 3. Tag it
Once you land on your event’s page, click the “Add Tag” button. Write “earthday”, along with any other tags that are applicable. For multiple tags, please note that you need to separate your terms with spaces (not commas).
Step 4. Get In-the-Know
Now that you’re ready to host your event, don’t miss our great “How-to’s,” like: How To Start an Event, Recycle at Your Event and Make Everyday Earth Day.
Step 5. Throw your event!
Have fun, get as many people involved as you can, and make it a great day!
Step 6. Share With the World
