There are approximately 30-35 million Christmas trees sold in North America every year. The top-selling Christmas trees include balsam fir, Douglas fir, Fraser fir, noble fir, Scotch pine, Virginia pine and white pine. Most often purchased in November, the disposal of these millions of trees is a hot topic when January rolls around.
