How To Add an Event to Our Search
The Earth911.com Local Recycling Search makes it easy to not only find recycling and proper disposal information in your area, but to get plugged into your community’s eco-friendly events. If you are attending or hosting a green event that you would like to display on search results for your area, follow the steps below:
Step 1. Go to Yahoo! Upcoming
Upcoming is a great place to list your event, and its where Earth911.com will be searching to find what you’ve got going on in your community to help the planet.
Step 2. Add an Event
Within the Earth911.com Directory results, a list of upcoming events can be found on the right-hand side, under the heading Local Events
- Sign in using your Yahoo! account. If you don’t already have one, it’s fast and easy to create!
- Click the “+ Add an Event” button at the top of the screen.
- Fill out the necessary information for your event. Also, be sure to click “Anyone and everyone” under the Privacy section, so others can find your event on Earth911.com.
- Hit “Preview” to see the first draft of your event information. If everything is correct, hit “Add Event.”
- Once the event has been published on Earth911.com, it can be found on the right-hand side of any related search.
Step 3. You Tag it, We Find it
To ensure Earth911.com finds your event, the word “recycle” must be included in its title, description and/or tags. That’s it! Your event should show up within one to two hours on our search.
Step 4. Get In-the-Know

Step 5. Throw Your Event!
