We’re all about sharing opinions and getting the word out here at Earth 911. That’s why this year’s World Environment Day motto, “Raise Your Voice, Not the Sea Level” resonates so well with us. The Earth, the present and the future are the “why” behind the call to action. After all, if we aren’t a voice for change, who will be?

“Planet Earth is our shared island, let us join forces to protect it,” said UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon at the launch of the 2014 International Year of Small Islands and Developing Countries. We are each a small island of influence, of good, of activism that can affect the world around us. With climate change at the center of this year’s World Environment Day, people are asked to engage in the discussion and do a little more day-to-day.
