I’m a bit of a watch aficionado, I’ve got a different watch for each day of the week. So, when I stumbled upon WeWOOD I was intrigued.  WeWOOD was born from the mind of an Italian watch lover. With the help of a couple entrepreneurs he established a branch in Southern California in 2010 and has been manufacturing and selling earth friendly watches around the world ever since.

WeWOOD partnered up with ‘American Forests’ and ‘Trees For The Future’ to plant a tree with every watch it sells. Since 2010 it has planted over 300,000 trees. WeWOOD’s goal is to plant 1 million trees by 2020.

The first thing I noticed when I picked the WeWood watch up was its weight. It’s practically weight-less compared to the steel watches I’ve worn for most of my life. Despite how light-weight it is, the watch still feels solid and well-constructed.

I love the pop of the yellow numbers and hands, they contrast perfectly with the dark wooden face. The two different types of wood on this watch give it a casual yet classy look. The watch feels like it has been made with high quality craftsmanship.  The watch is splash proof but not water proof, so don’t take it for a dip in the ocean.

WeWOOD currently makes watches out of 7 different kinds of wood including reclaimed Teak wood. They source this wood from all over the world primarily using reclaimed scrap wood. One other thing I found cool about the WeWOOD watch is that the packaging is mostly made from recycled material and is 100% recyclable. So after you unbox it, you can toss everything in the recycling, which is awesome.

Overall I loved the watch from WeWOOD, it’s fashionable, stylish, and mindfully made.
