Maintained by the Montana State University Extension Service, Pollution Prevention Program, in partnership with the Montana Chamber of Commerce, this free service connects businesses, government agencies and other organizations that have materials they need to get rid of with parties who can use them. By providing reuse opportunities for materials you would normally throw away, MME helps you prevent waste and reduce environmental impacts at the same time that you save on disposal costs.

Montana Public Interest Research Group (MontPIRG)
The Montana Public Interest Research Group (MontPIRG) is a non-partisan non-profit group working for the public interest in the courts, public agencies, the media and other decision-making areas. Since 1982, we have worked for a clean and healthful environment, strong consumer protection, and an open and accountable government. Additionally, through our campus chapter, we offer University of Montana students the chance to learn real world civic and leadership skills needed to effect social change outside of the classroom.

Montana State University Extension Service Pollution Prevention Program
The MT P2 Program is dedicated to helping the state’s small businesses and local governments use progressive, integrated pollution prevention (P2) strategies to increase productivity, while safeguarding our air, water, land and other natural resources. Our professional staff provide no-cost, non-regulatory technical assistance services to help businesses and government find cost effective ways to reduce, reuse and recycle resources in all areas of their operations. We focus on finding ways to conserve energy and water, and reduce the use of toxic chemicals.
Natural Resource Information System
The Montana (NRIS) is a program of the Montana State Library, which makes information on Montana’s natural resources easily and readily accessible. Serving private citizens, NRIS operates a clearinghouse and referral service to link users with the best sources of information and service.
Peaks to Prairies Pollution Prevention Information Center for Region 8
In cooperation with EPA Region 8 states, Peaks to Prairies encourages adoption of pollution prevention practices by citizens, small businesses, and local governments. The Center offers access to current information and contacts, encourages collaboration and leveraging of resources between programs, and builds information systems to enhance information dissemination.
Recycle Montana! is a statewide educational organization that has served Montana for more than 15 years. As a trade association, our members come from the beverage, packaging, waste management, and recycling industries and local government.

The Greater Yellowstone Coalition consists of people and organizations that protect the lands, waters, and wildlife of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, now and for future generations.
The Montana Environmental Information Center
The Montana Environmental Information Center is a member-supported statewide advocacy and public education organization. It was founded by concerned Montanans in 1973 to protect and restore Montana’s natural environment.
