Earth911.com Touts New Look and Versatility

Phoenix, AZ—Facelifts are going green and are not just for celebrities anymore. On Friday, May 18th, Earth911.com quietly unveiled its new Web site look to the public and environmental community. Thanks go out to the folks that took the time to comment on the Beta version.

Long overdue, the “facelift” was needed to accommodate the growing amount of environmental content, make the site more user friendly and intuitive to the visitor, and add new and versatile features such as media and news content, comment posting, along with local information listings.

The Earth 911 service locator is still front and center; however, it is now more “Google-ish” providing visitors increased flexibility to input what they are looking for (on the left) and to designate a city and state rather than just a specific ZIP Code on the right.

Upgrading the site is necessary to keep up with the increasing traffic going to www.Earth911.com, the burgeoning environmental, household hazardous waste and recycling movement and to provide features that web users have come to expect. We encourage everyone to visit the new Website and register to provide comments so that the Earth 911 staff can continue to improve and perfect the Earth 911 experience.

Local coordinators access the User Interface with the “Agency Login” at the bottom of the page under “Resources.” The User Interface section will also be completely overhauled in the coming months.
