Addressing The Mess

comedycentral.jpgNew York, NY—Comedy Central has shown us that laughter may perhaps be the best medicine with satirical content on the world’s issues through shows like The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. With the help of Earth 911, the network will next week launch its Address the Mess website to incorporate that same style while educating people about the environment.

Address the Mess is a pro-social campaign focused on showing easy ways to reduce waste, recycle and help revive the planet. Address the Mess will officially launch on August 13 through a Comedy Central Public Service Announcement (PSA) campaign, and Earth 911 will partner to provide access to its nationwide recycling database and content.

The site will feature environment-themed videos with Comedy Central personalities, quizzes created with guidance from Earth 911 on your environmental footprint and content from a number of environmental resources.

The network will launch a Comedy Central Live stand-up tour at colleges this fall and distribute “Waste Sucks” reusable tote bags, while also involving students in recycling drives. It will also feature a carbon-neutral Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav, the first carbon-neutral broadcast on the network.

Earth 911 is proud to support the Address the Mess campaign and encourages its readers to laugh while learning at the Address the Mess website. For more information, visit Earth 911′s Comedy Central partner page.

Gotta love the eagle intro too……I agree this is totally rocks! Better than when he had the guitar off with Chris Funk!
