Green Supply Chains a Growing Goal, Execs Say

GreenBiz shows the results of a new poll by eyefortransport of 250 North American business executives on the recent environmental trend in business.

Almost 70 percent of those polled said they expected interest in the issue to increase over the next three years, and 28 percent are developing partnerships to maximize efficiency.

“Among the motivations given for this new shift in supply chains were a nearly even split between getting a higher return on investment and getting a green public relations boost, with 38 and 36 percent, respectively. Twenty-two percent of respondents said they are hoping to improve their supply chain efficiency through the process.”

The article doesn’t break down the locations of executives polled, or what percentage came from each North American country. For more information and tips on greening a business, visit Earth 911′s Business Resources page.
