NanoLogix Develops Hydrogen Energy from Welch’s Wastewater

Yahoo! Finance reports on the the use of hydrogen energy developed through wastewater from a Pennsylvania Welch’s factory. The energy generated was enough to light up multiple strings of 100-watt light bulbs.

The company behind the energy generation is NanoLogix, which has already developed over 30 patents for bioreactor-based hydrogen production. The article contains a video that demonstrates the process nicely.

NanoLogix plans to develop a bioreactor at the Erie Wastewater Treatment Plant in spring 2008 to perform the same extraction of hydrogen from its sludge waste stream. For more information on energy, visit Earth 911′s Energy page.
