RecycleMania 2008

RecycleMania is a friendly competition for degree-granting colleges to compete with one another in recycling based contests. The 2008 RecycleMania will run from January 27-April 5.

Competitions include which school can collect the largest amount of recyclables per capita, the largest amount of total recyclables, the least amount of trash per capita or have the highest recycling rate. Registration is due January 18, 2008.

The goal of RecycleMania is to increase awareness and involvement in recycling on campus while also promoting friendly competition between schools. In 2007, 201 colleges participated and 41.3 million pounds of paper, plastic, aluminum, glass and cardboard were recycled.
