ENR Ranks Top 50 Green Contractors

Engineering News-Record has released its inaugural list of the Top 50 Green Contractors, a ranking of U.S. contractors based on the number of sustainable and green projects they have worked on.

The list has a nice representation of companies from throughout the country, with 22 different states charting at least one member on the list. The top three companies are all from the state of New York, but California leads the way overall with eight different contractors represented.

Other states with three or more companies on the list include Illinois, Florida, Pennsylvania and Minnesota. For more news on green building, visit Earth 911′s Green Building archive.

    Hi,

Thanks for writing such an interesting article. It’s really good to know about the real estate and home decoration and renovation in detail. MEK Construction, New York Green Contractor is a New York based contractor, with specialization in historic brownstone renovation. Their expertise is crafting elegant and detailed homes, using the finest materials and luxury appliances, establishing gracious living in a historic ambience. This attention to detail has led to an exclusive partnership with MIKA Development, to lead the industry in sustainable construction practices on Manhattan Island.

Their work on these projects together have created revolutionary synergies, allowing for stylish green dwellings which blend the best of classic design, while utilizing today’s most innovative construction techniques. They are making bold statements with strategic alliances with GOOD HOUSEKEEPING Magazine TM and the U.S. Green Building Council to pursue LEED certification for their projects. MEK combines insight and foresight at the worksite.

    Thanks,
    - Sibley
