PNC Financial Granted Trademark For “Green Branch”

Environmental Leader reports that PNC Financial has trademarked the term “green branch” with the U.S. Patent & Trademark office so that it can brand its branches as environmentally friendly.

PNC has 42 different buildings certified by the U.S. Green Building Council, 40 of which are bank branches. Other PNC green buildings include the PNC Firstside Center in downtown Pittsburgh and the J. Richard Carnall Center in Wilmington, Delaware.
