Ford Field Offsets Thanksgiving Day Game
Environmental Leader reports that tomorrow’s NFL game at Detroit’s Ford Field will be the first carbon neutral contest in league history after the stadium has partnered with a carbon offset company to offset all emissions produced by the game.
The game will produce almost two million pounds of carbon dioxide when you combine travel of both the fans and visiting team. Ford Field has estimated that it will need to offset for 28,260 cars, a 747 plane full of people and 255,675 KWh of electricity.

Hi everyone, it’s Thanksgiving Day! I’m happy with my extra day off, and I am planning to make something fun that will probably involve a bike ride and seeing something new in Bessemer I haven’t seen yet.
