FTC Announces April Green Packaging Workshop

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will feature a free public workshop on April 30 to examine:

  1. Developments in green packaging
  2. How consumers perceive these changes

It is the second in a series of environmental workshops from the FTC, and will take place at the FTC Conference Center in Washington, DC. For those unable to attend, there will be a live webcast available at the FTC website.

More and more companies have been using environmental terminology in product marketing, such as “compostable.” The workshop will address the use of these claims, as well as trends in packaging and certification from third-parties.
