Recycle Electronics at Emporia Collection Event on April 5

Residents and small businesses in Emporia, Kansas can recycle their obsolete electronics at a collection event at the Lyon County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 5.

The event is being sponsored by Asset LifeCycle (ALC) and the Natural Resources Advisory Board of Lyon and Chase Counties. Accepted items include:

  • Computers and accessories (mice, keyboards)
  • Televisions and monitors
  • Printers, scanners, copiers and fax machines
  • Telephones and cellular phones

There will be a $10 fee for televisions and a $5 fee for monitors. Data can be erased from hard drives for a $5 charge.

The event will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Businesses must make an appointment through ALC by calling (785) 272-8288.
