Reno Complex Celebrates Recycle-Palooza on March 29-30

Northern Nevada residents can bring their obsolete electronics for free recycling to the Somersett Welcome Center on either March 29 or 30.

The event will run from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on both days. Electronics that will be accepted include computers and components, monitors, printers, cell phones and PDAs, VCRs and radios.

The event is being branded as Recycle-Palooza. Other festivities:

  • Light bulb exchange: Bring in up to eight light bulbs and exchange them for energy-efficient compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs)
  • Pinky’s Pink Ink: Recycling of inkjet and toner cartridges to benefit schools
  • Bicycle/Eyeglass Donation: These items will be refurbished and redistributed by Kiwanis
  • Living Green Lectures: Seminars on how to save energy in your home

Check out the Recycle-Palooza flyer to learn more information. To find out where to properly dispose of these products in your area, use Earth 911′s recycling locator.
