Champaign to Hold April Event to Recycle Electronics

Champaign residents can unload their obsolete electronics at the University of Illinois Waste Transfer Station on April 19.

Accepted items include:

  • Computers and accessories
  • Monitors
  • Printers/scanners/copiers
  • Telephones/cell phones
  • Stereo equipment
  • MP3 players
  • Digital cameras
  • DVD players/VCRs
  • Televisions (fees associated)

E-waste collection events have been held in Champaign annually over the last three years and recycled nearly 200,000 pounds of electronics. For more information, visit the Champaign county site.
