Honda’s Zero Emission Car Hits the Market

The only thing emitted by Honda’s new hydrogen fuel car, the FCX Clarity, is water, according to Business Week.

The Clarity runs on hydrogen and electricity. The company says it is two times more energy efficient than a gas-electric hybrid and three times that of a standard gasoline-powered car. The plan is to release a few dozen this year and 200 within a year.

Some of the first owners are Hollywood personalities Jamie Lee Curtis and husband Christopher Guest, Laura Harris and Ron Yerxa. Several businessmen such as Jon Spallino and Jim Salomon have also jumped behind the wheel.

Harris gave the car good reviews.

“It’s so smooth,” she told AP. “It’s like a future machine, but it’s not.”
