Product Stewardship in Logging Industry Could Reduce Landslides

Money May Motivate Recyclers in Tennessee

Economic incentives would motivate more local families to recycle, according to a study done in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The study was performed by the Community Research Council.  The Times Free Press highlights some key findings: 30 percent of non-regular recyclers said they would recycle more if they received a 50 dollar annual property tax rebate 22 percent said they would recycle more if they received discounts at ... read more

Beijing Pushes Out Recyclers During Olympics

In August, the Olympic games will be coming to Beijing, China. One thing that will be leaving is almost 170,000 workers who collect recyclables throughout the city. Reuters reports that these workers represent one quarter of Beijing's recycling efforts, collecting everything from cardboard to plastic bottles.
