Beijing Pledges to Recycle Half of Olympic Waste

Beijing's 31 Olympic venues are expected to jointly produce some 14,000 tons of trash, including leftovers, Sina. In the tradition of past host countries, Beijing has pledged to make 50 percent of this waste useful after recycling. Food waste must be removed from stadiums within four hours.
