EPA Looks to Curb Tires Using Lead Weights

The U.S. EPA has partnered with tire manufacturers and retailers to begin phasing in lead-free tire weights, hoping to greatly reduce the amount of lead that ends up in roads and landfills by 2012. University of Wisconsin Athletics To Pump Up Recycling

The University of Wisconsin Athletics Department has committed to improve its recycling practices on game days and throughout the year. A new program will be launched at Saturday's football game against Akron. Western Phoenix Suburbs Expand Plastic Curbside Recycling

The Maricopa County cities of Goodyear, Litchfield Park and Surprise will now be able to recycle additional plastic products at the curb thanks to an expanded plastic recycling program by Waste Management. Demand For Biodegradable Plastic On The Rise

A study by The Freedonia Group Inc. projects the U.S. demand for biodegradable plastic will rise more than 15 percent annually to 720 million pounds in 2012, valued at $845 million, according to TransWorld News. Microsoft Headquarters Cuts Waste in Half Through Recycling Program

Maryland Athletics Develops Recycling Plan for Home Games

New Art Exhibit Promotes Fridge Recycling

Paper Piling Up In Florida

Coke to Recycle at National Conventions
