Recycling Programs Top Eco-Choice Among Manufacturers

A new poll of 300 manufacturing executives shows that 65 percent have invested in reuse or recycling programs to promote “green” manufacturing, more than any other option.

The survey was conducted by Eye for Transport, which is putting on a Green Manufacturing Summit in San Francisco in October.

The survey aimed to showcase what investment manufacturers are making to comply with environmental best practices. Recycling/reuse programs beat out water reduction (58 percent) and energy management (50 percent).
