Best Buy Hosts Electronics Recycling Event in Colorado

Best Buy and Samsung have partnered to provide free electronics recycling this weekend at the Southwest/Littleton Best Buy location to coincide with Denver’s Green Sunday and the Democratic National Convention.

Items accepted on both Saturday, Aug. 23 and Sunday, Aug. 24 include most consumer electronics:

  • Televisions and computer monitors
  • Computers and accessories
  • Phones and cellular phones
  • Scanners, printers, fax machines and ink cartridges
  • Rechargeable batteries
  • VCRs

The event will not be accepting any large appliances or microwaves, smoke detectors, air conditioners or single-use batteries.

The first 100 cars each day to bring an electronic device for recycling will receive a $5.00 Best Buy gift card. The store is located at 5395 S Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood.

Best Buy recycled more than 20 million pounds of electronic waste in 2007.
