Whitlock Training Group Offers Business Recycling Course

Whitlock Training Group Corporation, a leader in e-learning for the business and law enforcement communities, recently launched the new online training course “Profitable Recycling for Business,” reports The Wall Street Journal.

Many businesses perceive recycling as simply a good move for the environment, but there are economic incentives as well. Valuable items are also sent off to the landfill, causing companies to miss an opportunity for profit and pay disposal fees.

The course teaches business leaders the financial benefits of recycling common waste materials such as wood, computer equipment.

Mike Rausch, President of Whitlock Training Group Corporation, spoke with the Journal about the course:

“Until now, recycling information has focused on residential recycling programs or on how to help the environment by recycling. Recycling facts have not been readily available for businesses to learn about the high costs associated with waste disposal or the financial value of recyclable materials. The Profitable Recycling for Business course answers the question ‘why is recycling important for a business’ bottom line. It debunks some of the myths about waste disposal and teaches business managers how they can simultaneously improve their business’ bottom line and help the environment by recycling,” he said.
