Bon Jovi to Headline 2008 Live Earth Concert

This year’s Live Earth concert will take place in India on December 7, and the 2008 rendition will be headlined by rock legend Bon Jovi.

Live Earth debuted in 2007 as a rock concert that spanned all seven continents to promote the issue of climate change. One of the organizers is former Vice President Al Gore, who says India was chosen in part because of its emerging growth and environmental responsibility in the global economy.

Part of Live Earth’s commitment is to reduce the waste that occurs at any live event by recycling and choosing eco-friendly packaging.

Live Earth will once again be broadcast over the internet by MSN to 42 countries in 21 different languages. The 2007 event had more than 15 million views.
