New Communities in Tucson, AZ, to Recycle Wastewater

In Tucson, Ariz., future communities will feature water recycling for individual subdivisions, reports Fox 11 AZ. In these new communities, residents will water their plants and lawns with recycled water from sinks, showers and bathtubs. EDF and Wal-Mart Partner to Reduce Plastic Bag Use

The Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) and Wal-Mart have teamed up to help carry out Wal-Mart's Global Plastic Shopping Bag Waste Reduction Commitment, the company announced yesterday. Scientists Work To ‘Up Cycle’ Plastic

Scientists are developing a new recycling process using bacteria to turn PET plastic into a biodegradable plastic that could replace the cellophane in food packaging, according to Science News.
