Environmental Film Festival to Come to Colorado

The third annual Colorado Environmental Film Festival will take place Oct. 2 through Oct. 5 in Golden, Colo.

In all, 22 films will be shown during the four-day event, covering topics such as America’s production and consumption, where oil comes from, e-cycling and recycling.  Many green organizations, such as the International Center for Appropriate and Sustainable Technology and the U.S. Forest Service will be present at the festival with information on the environment.

A free recycling event for electronics such as PCs, cell phones, fax machines, printers and microwaves will be held on Saturday.  Some electronics, such as monitors televisions, will require a small surcharge to recycle.

Also on Saturday, audience members will have an opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with filmmakers about their films and what it takes to produce an environmental film.  A silent auction will also be held.
