Recycling Up, Trash Down in Boston

New programs are helping recycling rates improve in the Boston area, reports The Boston Globe. The amount of cans recycled rose 6.1 percent from 2005 to 2007, while the amount of trash collected dropped 10.6 percent, according to South Shore Recycling Cooperative. San Antonio to Create Energy From Human Waste

San Antonio recently unveiled a new plan to harvest the methane gas from its residents' waste, in order to convert it to energy, according to Yahoo! News. San Francisco Passes Resolution Calling for Increased Product Responsibility

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors recently passed a resolution asking California legislators to create laws which place product stewardship responsibilities on product manufacturers, according to Yahoo! Lenovo Offers Free Electronics Recycling

Tennessee Students Recycle for Football Tickets

A New Life For Recycled Paper, Plastic in Israel

The American Israeli Paper Mills Group (AIPM) has invented a pipe "almost as tough as steel" made with recycled The Jerusalem Post. ACRC to Celebrate Recycling 100 Million Pounds of Pesticide Containers
